Founded in 2008 in Lugano, Switzerland, Punkt. was created to offer an alternative to the noise and complexity of modern technology.

The Essence of Punkt.

The name Punkt. is taken from the Germanic word for ‘point’ or ‘full stop/period’, and was
chosen to symbolise the way the company’s products are built around simplicity, clarity and focus.

2004

Petter Neby conceives the idea for Punkt., noticing technology’s increasing distraction

2008

Punkt. is founded in Lugano, Switzerland by Petter Neby, with Jasper Morrison as designer

2011

Launch of the DP01 Cordless Phone—our first product—at MAISON&OBJET in Paris

2015

Introduction of the MP01 mobile phone, establishing Punkt. as a pioneer in digital minimalism

2018

Launch of the MP02, bringing secure communication to our minimalist phone line

2022

Launch of the AC02 Alarm Clock, an evolution of the original AC01, carrying forward its timeless design in a refined new form.

2023

Punkt. unveils the MC02, our first privacy-focused smartphone running Apostrophy OS
