Another Salone del Mobile has come and gone. We had a great time, with a significant increase in the number of people visiting the Punkt. Design Terrace, retail display and Urban Mobility Project exhibition.
Many thanks to everyone who took part, with special mentions to: Damn° Magazine and Mosca Partners for putting on such a world-leading event; Capellini, Flos and Fredericia for supplying us with Jasper Morrison furniture for the Design Terrace, along with NIKARI who contributed furniture of their own; Torino Crea for working against the clock to deliver the prototypes to such tight deadlines; and the students of the three Urban Mobility Project design schools who watched over their prototypes vigilantly during the week. Thanks also to the Buscemi store for making the Punkt. shop possible – and congratulations on their fiftieth anniversary. Congratulations are also due to everyone who made it the morning reception despite the transport strike!
The Punkt. Library is no more, but it shall rise again. Books seem to be back, and we came home with none (we ended up handing them all out, to be read and passed on). Any suggestions for some new titles?
The UC 01 Desktop Charger was our top-selling product at the show, which was a nice surprise. It seems that actually seeing and using the UC 01 in the physical world makes the difference.
